The most important thing on this page: this website is not the government. Everything below follows from that.

This is not a government website

edistrictuttarpradesh.com is a private, independent guide. It is not operated, endorsed or approved by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the National Informatics Centre, or any government department. The official portal is edistrict.up.gov.in, and the citizen portal is esathi.up.gov.in.

Our domain name resembles the name of the official portal, because it describes the subject we write about. Please do not read that resemblance as a connection: there is none. If you meant to reach the government portal, use the official address above.

Information, not authority

Everything here is explanation — how the process works, what documents are asked for, what the fees were when we checked. Fees, forms, timelines and rules change, and districts apply them differently. Before you spend money or time, confirm the detail on the official portal or at the office handling your case.

Where a figure comes from a government document or a news report, the source is named next to it so you can check it yourself.

We cannot influence your application

Nobody connected with this site can approve an application, reverse a rejection, release a certificate, arrange a refund or make any officer move faster. We have no access to the portal’s records, no contact inside any office, and no special standing of any kind. Anyone who claims otherwise — here or elsewhere — is misleading you.

We never ask for passwords, OTPs or payments

This site takes no payment for any government service and asks for no eSathi password, no OTP, no Aadhaar number and no bank details. If a message, call or page claims to be us and asks for any of those, it is not us.

Government fees are paid only on the official portal through PAYGOV, or at a CSC against a receipt. If someone demands extra money to "process" or "speed up" your certificate, the state’s anti-corruption helpline is 1064.

Forms and downloads

The self-declaration form offered here is the government’s own form, hosted for convenience, plus a fillable version that prints the same fields. Neither is an official issue, and neither is submitted for you: you print it, sign it, and upload it yourself on eSathi. What you declare on it is your responsibility, and a false declaration carries the penalties printed on the form.

Other websites

Links to official portals, DigiLocker, CSC services and other sites are given to help you reach them. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or for anything that happens on them.

About the writer

This guide is written by Mohsin Raza, who has spent about three years helping people in Lucknow apply for these certificates. He is not a government employee, not an advocate, and not a licensed agent. What you read here is practical experience, not legal advice.
